The ideal first mate for the season of fun and travel
If your summer plans involve exotic destinations, tropical beaches, and lazy days aboard a yacht, then the Rolex Everose gold Yacht-Master may be for you.
Just over a year old, this sporty, yet ultra luxurious piece of wrist
wear from the famed Swiss watchmaker continues to make waves among Rolex
fans for its distinct aesthetics and reliable precision. If you're in the market for the Everose gold Yacht-Master, here are five facts to consider.
1. The Everose gold Yacht-Master is available in two sizes
The cases of the Everose gold Yacht-Master are crafted in an 18k pink gold alloy exclusive to Rolex prized for its exceptional sheen and durability.
There are two case size options to choose from – 40mm (ref. 116655) and
37mm (ref. 268655) — making the Everose gold Yacht-Master ideal for
both men and women.
2. The Everose gold Yacht-Master sports a black ceramic bezel
For all its attractiveness, the Everose gold Yacht-Master can still be
considered a tool watch thanks in part to its bidirectional rotatable
bezel with 60-minute markings that can be used to time events.
Aside from the bezel's practicality, it is also robust since it is
constructed from a ceramic alloy that Rolex has dubbed as Cerachrom. Cerachrom will not fade when exposed to the sun and is highly resistant to scratches. A perfect fusion of beauty and beast.
3. The Everose gold Yacht-Master is waterproof to 330 feet
This being a nautical-inspired watch, the water resistance capability of the Yacht-Master is, of course, important.
The trio of the Triplock screw-down winding crown, the fluted caseback,
and the sapphire crystal protecting the face make the Oyster case of
the Everose gold Yacht-Master watertight and allows the watch to safely
plunge to 330 feet (100 meters) deep.
4. The Everose gold Yacht-Master is presented on an Oysterflex bracelet
A first for Rolex, when the Everose gold Yacht-Master made its debut in
2015 it was outfitted with what looked like a rubber strap.
However, upon closer inspection, it is not a run-of-the-mill rubber
strap, but rather a titanium and nickel bracelet coated with rubber and
christened the Oysterflex.
Not only is the bracelet durable enough to withstand extended periods
in the sun and salt water, but it also provides supreme comfort via the
patented cushion system made up of rubber pads to allow for air
circulation.
The black Oysterflex bracelet is finished off with an 18k Everose gold
Oysterlock clasp to safely secure the timepiece in place.
5. The Everose gold Yacht-Master is precise to -2/+2 seconds a day
As with all other modern Rolex watches, the Everose gold Yacht-Master
is COSC certified, yet it boasts a precision of -2/+2 seconds a day,
which is actually twice as precise as the parameters set out by COSC. The 37mm version is powered by the Rolex Caliber 2236, while the 40mm version is equipped with the Rolex Caliber 3135.
